City Fusion™
a GIS-Based Integrated Infrastructure Management System
The City Fusion System is designed to merge the
geographical (GIS) data to the process-based data collected during
the execution of tasks and projects programmed by city management.
By linking activities, resource usage and cost data to specific city
assets and tracking them through time, city managers can analyze
trends, control cost and forecast future budgets. This gives the
city staff real time visibility on the condition of city
infrastructure and services provided to the citizenry.
The system will increase the
efficiency and reduce the costs of city management by :
-
Developing and maintaining inventory information on all aspects of the city infrastructure;
-
Determining the right treatment at the right time;
-
Determining the funding levels required to maintain physical infrastructure at a known or desired level of service; or
to expand, reconstruct or add to the inventory;
-
Prioritizing work requirements and allocating funds to achieve overall goals;
-
Allowing for “what-if” analysis;
Optimizing expenditures among various physical infrastructure components or types to get the best overall value;
-
Providing staff and other stakeholders with direct access to infrastructure-related information; and
-
Allowing management to monitor established performance measures for physical infrastructure in real time.
